The William Cecil Wedding Disco

The William Cecil Hotel is located on the outskirts of the historic and famous town of Stamford and borders the estates of Burghley house, the ancestral home of the Cecil family. The hotel is a quirky blend of historic style with modern, contemporary twists.

BlackTieDJ have had the pleasure of working at the Hotel a number of times and, due to the Wedding Breakfast being held in the marquee area before guests make their way to the Hotels function suite our After Dark Package is the most relevant option for this hotel.

The BlackTieDJ After Dark experience is our incredibly popular evening only option. Your DJ would expect to arrive towards the end of your wedding breakfast and discreetly set up within the hotel. Everything would be ready for the end of your wedding breakfast and as guests enter the room they would see the stunning starcloth surround of our DJ Booth and your room will be illuminated in either your theme colour or an accent colour from your pallete. The lighting in the room remains in this accent state from your arrival and throughout your first dance providing a stunning introduction to your evening.

The music played prior to your first dance is background music which can either be chosen from the styles listed in your personal Event Planner or provided by yourselves on an ipod or laptop. BlackTieDJ produce an Event Planner for all our wedding couples which gives you the opportunity to provide details of either some of the songs that we play or to detail a complete playlist to us. If you do leave the music selection to your DJ please don’t worry that we will play any of the very cheesy songs from the 70s and 80s which only ever feature in our sets if requested in advance.

Following your first dance (or second if you are having one) our lighting performs room filling effects as we invite your guests to join you both on the dancefloor as we work our way through the evening entertaining your guests with the music presented in a seamless and professional manner. Depending on your buffet arrangements we would usually give a buffet break of around 20 minutes where the music volume is decreased and our lights go back to the accent settings giving guests an opportunity to socialise whilst they eat.

The After Dark Package is a perfect solution for discerning Brides and Grooms that need an evening reception that is both classy and fun presented by professional DJ’s who work regularly within exclusive venues.

The William Cecil Hotel looks stunning when up-lighting is added whether the effect is left as a static representation of your theme colour or is used as part of the DJ’s lighting. The entire rear wall can be draped with a starcloth that follows the contour of the sloping ceiling and provides a stunning backdrop to the room and the DJ’s elegant, contemporary show and our wonderful colour changing battery powered poseur tables arranged in the proximity of the dancefloor add a stylish practical touch to your reception.
