21st January saw BlackTieDj up sticks and travel to Hintlesham Hall, just outside of Ipswich to DJ at Heidi and David’s Wedding Celebration.
Hintlesham Hall is a very grand country house hotel and is always a pleasure to work there. The team at the hotel are very friendly and help make sure the booking always run smoothly.
Heidi and Davids 1st dance was an unusual one, not in terms of the actual song, but it’s the first time that Dido – ‘Hear With Me’ has been asked for as a first dance, the 2nd dance was the very brilliant Lana Del Rey with Video Games, after the formalities were out of the way, we went into some modern pop music which kept the dancefloor busy.
There was a bit of an embarassing moment early on the night, when i played Michael Jackson, to kick off the 80′s set and the bride had forgot to mention that she didn’t like MJ, this was quickly rectified and we were back once again with a full dancefloor for the rest of the night. I was amazed at that Heidi and David were very rarely off the dancefloor for any length of time, The Salon at Hintlesham was very warm and cosy, and I certainly didn’t envy everyone dancing away in their suits.
1235am saw my start the last 5 or 6 songs, which Heidi and David had requested and left the night on a high, with the last song being Bohemian Rhapsody. All of the guests left at that time summoned the last bit of energy to join them on the dancefloor, and the evening ended with a big round of applause for the bride and groom.
